Kong Zoom Groom
The Zoom Groom by Kong is by far one of the BEST home grooming products I have used. I have 3 dogs, all with long hair, which can take up to 3 hours to groom. When I say groom, I mean, brush, wash, dry and brush again. The Zoom Groom not only helps with brushing but speeds up the washing process, especially if you use two at the same time.
They are easy to grip and the Zoom Groom holds the soap then disperses the soap evenly as you are washing your dog. This means your using less soap! The Zoom Groom also helps remove loose hair while you are washing, so brushing after the bath is much easier. You can even use the Zoom Groom as a brush when dry and with the soft bristles, my dogs at least, seem to enjoy being brushed with the Zoom Groom more than with a traditional brush.
I mentioned that I use two Zoom Grooms when bathing. With one in each hand I can wash both sides of my dog at the same time! What a time saver! I cannot say enough good things about the Zoom Groom. If you enjoy bonding time with you pet by bathing at home in the backyard or in the tub I highly recommend the Zoom Groom. You can pick them up at most pet supply stores.
The Animal Hydration Flow
This product is great for outdoor pets, or pets that have access to the outdoors and you want your water bowls to be kept outside. You hook it up to your hose (I bought the short, white water drinking hose for safety), it has a mechanical float valve that allows your pet to have fresh drinking water all the time.
I have 3 dogs at home and we used to use a 5 gallon bucket as our water dish. It certainly wasn't ideal as it would grow algae quickly and when we got our little guy, we had to fill it up more frequently because he couldn't reach the water when it got low. The water wasn't fresh and would warm up quickly.
What I like about the animal hydration flow is that I don't have to worry about filling up my dogs water dish several times a day. All I do is make sure it's still working on a daily basis and clean it out regularly to keep algae away. I give it a good scrub once a month and the rest of the time I just rinse it out and let it fill itself back up. My dogs always have fresh water and the water is cool.
I purchased mine on Amazon.com about a year ago and it's still working good. There is some rust where the hose attaches to the watering system and when I first hooked it up there was a little drip from that same spot. To stop the leaking I used some thread seal tape and that seemed to do the trick.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has outdoor pets or gives their pets access to the outdoors for drinking.
